Spin a Superhero Best Heroes to Keep

If it is your rarest unique, it stays. Everything else is a pad math problem.

Best Heroes

Best heroes in Spin a Superhero are the units that survive a sober look at your worst pad. This is not a popularity contest and it is not a licensed power ranking. Chill Games sells an RNG tycoon. The best unit is the one that raises Coins per second the most and that you cannot replace before the next rebirth.

Use the hero tier list for rows. Use this page for the keep/sell conversation. Odds and banner names: rarity index.

The keep rule

Ask three questions every time a Dice stops:

  1. Is this rarer than my worst pad?
  2. Is it my only copy?
  3. Will Fuse or Trading pay more than this pad will earn this week?

If (1) is yes, swap. If (2) is yes and rarity is Apex or higher, you do not Fuse. If (3) is yes and you have a duplicate, Trade first, shop-sell last.

That rule beats any named list. A player with one Apex Deadpool-style unit and a floor of Commons should not vendor the Apex because a wiki said Sacred is better. You do not have Sacred yet.

Best-in-slot by account stage

Empty plot: the first body you roll. See Getting Started.

Full floor of Commons: any Rare or Epic is best-in-slot. Swap immediately.

Mixed mid plot: keep the highest rarity uniques. Fill holes with Dice from the dice guide.

Apex unlocked: Apex is your poster unit until Sacred. Official odds are 1 in 100K. Treat a first copy like property.

Sacred unlocked: Sacred is the 1 in 500K banner. It is the default best hero on the account unless Index shows Transcendent with better income.

Transcendent available: the TRANSCENDENT code exists for a reason. If the Index grows that row, it becomes the new keep-forever class.

Costume notes without fake lore

Official media shows:

  • A spider-suited unit as a standard hype pull
  • A caped “break the die” super-strength pose
  • An Apex mercenary-red banner
  • A Sacred blue-red spider variant at 1 in 500K

Those are marketing anchors. Place them when you roll them. Do not reroll a working Epic because it is not the thumbnail. Thumbnails are not pads.

Best villains

Villains share Dice with heroes. If a villain’s pad preview pays more, it is a best hero for our purposes. If it pays less, it is Fuse/Trade food after you have hero coverage. Do not keep a weak villain “for the Index” on a pad that could hold an Apex.

Party and Friend Boost

Best units still need a full plot. Friend Boost multiplies plot income, not a single costume. Invite friends after staffing. An S-tier unit on a lonely pad in an otherwise empty Floor 3 is a waste of a 1 in 500K event.

When “best” changes

Floor 3 made mid units better because you needed more bodies. Fuse and Trading made duplicates better as items. A future Dice that guarantees Transcendent would demote today’s Sacred to A-tier. Until that Store row exists, Sacred remains the practical best.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, dice, rebirths, and plot income.

What is the single best unit in Spin a Superhero?

The rarest unique you own that still has a pad. Sacred is the marketed ceiling at 1 in 500K until Transcendent is confirmed in Index.

Is the Apex banner worth keeping?

Yes. Apex is 1 in 100K on official art. Keep the first copy. Trade extras if Trading is unlocked.

Should I chase a specific costume?

Only after pads print Coins. Costumes are collection. Income is rarity. See the rarity index.

Can a Common ever be a best hero?

Yes, on an empty pad. The moment a better rarity lands, the Common becomes filler.
